Manchester Environmental Education Network, or "MEEN" as it is more commonly known, is dedicated to supporting teachers, organisations and individuals working to promote environmental education and Education for Sustainability. To achieve this, we use a variety of methods: we run projects with schools, organise networking events, provide a termly newsletter and pool various free curriculum resources on this website.
We run projects. Here are links to some of our most recent:
|Save Our Soils||Youth Action on climate change|
|SLT research project||Four Nations Conference|

We provide information to share:
MEEN's newsletter, Beehive, is sent out to Greater Manchester schools on a termly basis. We also provide helpful listings in The MEEN Directory and a selection of themed curriculum resources to help put sustainability in the curriculum. There is also an events calendar where we post relevant training opportunities.
We run network events:
MEEN organises three network events a year for Eco Coordinators and practitioners of Sustainability Education to meet up, share good practice and learn together. Two of the events are focused specifically on supporting Eco Coordinators whilst the third event hones in on a particular issue and invites experts to share their knowledge.
Beehive: the MEEN newsletter
Beehive provides information about up and coming events and opportunities, runs stories from Manchester schools to inspire good practice, reviews up to date teaching resources and lists training opportunities.
