What support is offered to Schools?

One Education's residential outdoor education centre promotes educational, social and personal development through outdoor activities and exploration of wild places. Offering students an active course linked to the school curriculum, courses can be tailored to meet the needs of the group. Specific curriculum linked courses are also offered, such as field studies, geography, science, maths and languages. They also offer a lot of environmental input to help schools working towards their Eco School status.

Example of activities

Activities include canoeing, mountain walking, gill scrambling, abseiling, rock climbing and caving. We also offer John Muir trust award, with the emphasis on discovering and exploring a number of wild places local to Ghyll Head, looking at the landscape, plants, animals and rocks of different ecosystems.
